How to Remove Bulova Watch Links
- 1). Set up your work surface in a quiet room where you can adjust the band on your Bulova wrist watch without being disturbed. Look for a room that offers a clean, flat surface that is located near a source of natural or artificial light. Pad your work surface with a neoprene mouse pad or sheet of craft felt to protect the face of your watch from unsightly scuffs or scratches.
- 2). Place your Bulova wrist watch face-down on the neoprene mouse pad or sheet of craft felt. Study the back of the watch band to identify the removable links. Note that each removable band link will have a small arrow etched into its back.
- 3). Turn your attention to the small metal link pins located between each of the removable links in your watch band. Push the small metal link pins in the direction the arrows are pointing. Use a pointed object, such as a watch pin removal tool or thumbtack, to force out the link pins. Remove the link pins on both sides of a removable link to free it. Keep the face of your watch centered when the band is reassembled by removing excess band links from alternating sides of your Bulova watch band.
- 4). Reassemble your Bulova watch band to complete the band adjustment process. Join the last link from both sides of the watch band and insert one of the removed link pins to hold them together.
