Hi, my name is Noel, master hairstylist and owner of Noel New York Salon and Boutique in Brooklyn, New York. I'm here today to talk to you about how to grow long hair while transitioning. The key to transitioning is less friction. The more friction you have the more breakage you'll have, the less friction you have, the more hair you will keep on your head. So there's a few things that you can do in order to keep minimal friction. The first thing I would suggest is giving yourself a Keratin treatment or amino based treatment. Two of the ones that we love here at the salon are the Acai Brazilian Blowout as well as the Keratin Complex by Coppola. Make sure that you are deep conditioning your hair weekly as well as using a silk pillowcase. So those few simple steps are a way that you can make sure that you grow long hair while transitioning.
