    • 1). Click "Start." Click "All Programs." Click "Windows Media Player."

    • 2). Press Alt to display the main menu after the program launches. Point to "Help." Click "About Windows Media Player."

    • 3). Click "Technical Support Information." Windows Media Player will launch a new window or tab in your browser displaying information about the application.

    • 4). Hold down Ctrl and F to open the search menu, or click "Edit," then "Find." Type "audio codecs" into the field. Press Enter. Close "Find."

    • 5). View the list of audio codecs displayed. Scroll down to see the video codecs installed to your system.
