    • 1). Open Microsoft Word.

    • 2). Click on the "Tools" menu.

    • 3). Click on "Customize," then select the "Toolbars" tab.

    • 4). Click "New."

    • 5). Type in the desired name for the toolbar.

    • 6). Select "Normal.dot" in the "Make Toolbar Available To" menu.

    • 7). Click the "Commands" tab in the "Customize" dialog box.

    • 8). Drag the command or commands you want to the empty toolbar.
