Adults can cut an empty cereal box at an angle then let kids decorate it with paint, markers, and crayons. This can be used as a magazine holder, or to hold bills and other important papers. Strips of cardboard can be cut and decorated and used as bookmarks by kids. Older children can also use the front and back of an empty cereal box to make a unique, and recycled, scrapbook for their favorite photos.
