- 1). Shop online to get easy access to a wide selection of Memorywriter correction ribbons. Amazon.com, TypewriterSupply.com and RibbonTrain.com all have a variety of these ribbons. While there are none made specifically by Xerox, there are plenty of Memorywriter-compatible ribbons available.
- 2). Lift the protective flap at the top of your Memorywriter and remove the old correction ribbon by gently pulling out both cassettes (on the left side and right side of the typewriter) at the same time.
- 3). Load the new correction tape ribbon into the typewriter. The cassette that is full of tape goes into the left side of the typewriter, while the empty side goes into the right. The ribbon between the two sides should stay intact and lie at the bottom of the cassettes, stretching across the typewriter.
- 4). Wind the ribbon in the direction of the arrow about two or three times.
- 5). Close the top flap and begin typing.
