How to Remove a Watchband

104 4
    • 1). Place a soft cloth or rag onto a flat work surface.

    • 2). Place the watch face down on the cloth or rag.

    • 3). Insert the forked end of a spring bar tool, available at retail and jewelry stores, between the watchband and the hole (case lug) holding the watchband's spring bar in place. If you don't have a spring bar tool, use a small screwdriver.

    • 4). Push gently toward the watchband and away from the case lug to release the spring bar. The spring bar will pop out of the small hole. Place the spring bar to the side if your new watchband doesn't have a spring bar.

    • 5). Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to remove the other end of the band from the watch.
