- 1). Clean off the area around the hole if you have time. For items such as a beach ball, you may let the air out and it is no big deal; however, if you are on an inflatable boat and there is a tear, you must skip this step because you won't have the extra time to spare.
- 2). Evenly apply the glue provided in the repair kit around the cut. Avoid allowing large collections of glue on the toy, because this may prevent the patch from sticking.
- 3). Place the patch over the cut. Make sure the tear is directly in the middle of the patch. Press down on the patch to ensure it sticks to the glue. Hold down on the patch for a minute or two.
- 4). Re-inflate the inflatable toy, and the patch will hold the air inside.
