How to Get a Fallen Relationship Back on Its Feet
- 1). Talk to your partner about the problems in your relationship. Discuss ways to introduce trust, honesty, and good listening skills. Each partner should talk about problems in turn. Do this when you're both calm and not distracted.
- 2). Schedule time to be together. Sometimes a hectic lifestyle can get in the way of quality time. Make sure you spend time with your partner alone and uninterrupted. Try to do this at least once a week.
- 3). Support your partner. Think about his needs, and show sensitivity when he has a bad day. Ask him about his day and if he wants to talk about it. Cook a dinner he likes, or give him a back massage to show him he's loved. Ask him to do the same for you.
- 4). Flirt with each other. If you've lost the spark, laugh and have fun together. Think about the fun you had at the start of your relationship, and try to recapture that feeling. Go on fun dates like to an amusement park.
- 5). See a relationship therapist if you're still struggling. Find a therapist you both like, and talk with her openly and honestly. A relationship therapist can help you understand how you got off track and give you techniques to use to get your relationship back on track.
