- 1). Sketch the basic outline of Barbie. Start by drawing a circle to represent Barbie's head and sketch basic lines to map out her body. Do not add any inner details to the drawing, and focus on getting a proportional outline of Barbie first.
- 2). Erase any unnecessary markings left by your rough outline. Draw a more detailed outline of Barbie's hair, facial profile, clothing and body. Erase and adjust your drawing where needed. Darken the basic outline with a pencil.
- 3). Draw the inner details of Barbie's clothing and face. Use a pencil to sketch in all the details desired. Work slowly and press lightly as you fill in your basic outline, and erase any extra markings made and darken the details with a pencil.
- 4). Ink your drawing with a black pen to give it a complete look. Work slowly and add any other details you desire. Add shadows and highlights to the drawing with a pencil for a sharper look.
