How to Knit a Scarf for AG Dolls
- 1). Cast on 10 stitches using worsted weight yarn and size US 8 knitting needles. To do this, make a slipknot on one needle with the yarn. Bring the yarn up and cross it over itself to make a loop, then slide this loop onto the needle. Repeat this eight more times for a total of 10 stitches including the slip knot.
- 2). Knit every stitch in the first row. To do this, insert your right needle into the far right stitch on the left needle, pointing the needle into the stitch from front to back. Bring the yarn up and over the needle and draw it through the stitch. Repeat this across the row.
- 3). Knit every stitch in every subsequent row. Simply turn your work at the end of the row and repeat the process in Step 2.
- 4). Bind off when your scarf reaches 18 inches long. To do this, knit two stitches, then pass the right stitch over the left and drop it off the needle. Knit another stitch and drop the right one over the left. Repeat this across the final row.
- 5). Cut the working yarn, leaving a 4-inch tail. Pull this tail through the last stitch to finish the bind-off.
- 6). Thread the yarn tail onto an embroidery needle. Weave the needle in and out of the stitches in the body of the scarf to hide it. Repeat with the other yarn tail at the beginning of the scarf.
