- 1). Position the heavy-duty floor jack under the center of the driver-side frame on your SUV or truck. Elevate the driver's side with the floor jack. Adjust two jack stands to their highest elevation and place them under the frame.
- 2). Lower the SUV or truck onto the elevated jack stands with the heavy-duty floor jack. Place two other jack stands 6 inches outboard from the SUV or truck's driver side body rail where the factory predrilled holes are located.
- 3). Lift the left Nerf stainless steel running board onto the two stationary jack stands, with the mounting side of the running board facing the body rail.
- 4). Bolt the running board to the body rail using the socket set and nuts and bolts supplied with the Nerf stainless steel running board.
- 5). Elevate the SUV or truck off the jack stands, move the stands away from the vehicle manually, then lower the vehicle to the ground using the heavy-duty floor jack.
- 6). Repeat these steps on the SUV or truck's passenger side to complete the installation.
