  Cheating can occur in any relationship, regardless of age, race or social status. Cell phones have made cheating easier, and if your partner starts acting strangely in regard to his phone, it is normal to become suspicious. Strange calls at all hours of the night and jumpiness when the phone rings are just a few of the signs that your partner may be using his cell phone to facilitate cheating.
  
  

Strange Behavior

• If your partner has a tendency to get jumpy when the phone rings or sprint to pick it up before you have a chance to see the screen, it could be a sign that he's hiding something. Repeatedly letting the phone ring without answering or constantly taking calls in another room are also signs that something fishy might be going on.
  
  

Cryptic Calls

• Cryptic phone calls --- in which the person avoids revealing any information about the conversation --- often occur when someone is cheating. If your partner never says the caller's name, as in, "Hi, so-and-so, how have you been?" or only communicates in the form of "yes" and "no" answers, she is probably hiding something. Analyze the conversation by comparing how she answers the phone when she's speaking to someone you know, such as a friend, family member or coworker. If you notice a significant increase in cryptic language, you may want to ask what's going on.
  
  

Messages at All Hours

• When your partner's cell phone starts ringing or receiving messages at all hours of the night, it is normal to wonder who's calling. If your partner doesn't have a logical explanation for the calls, such as a family or work emergency, he may be hiding something. Be on alert if your partner suddenly leaves his ringer on "silent" or "vibrate" all the time to prevent you from hearing incoming calls.
  
  

Phone Is Off-Limits

• It's not abnormal if your partner prefers that you don't touch her phone for work reasons. But when the phone is glued to her side and you're never allowed to touch it, under any circumstances, it's time to be suspicious. When someone is hiding something on her cell phone, the most obvious reaction is to keep the phone close and off-limits to others at all times.
