How to Paint Clown Art
- 1). Lay the sheet of black construction paper in front of your child.
- 2). Give her a paintbrush and allow her to choose any color of paint.
- 3). Instruct your child to draw a circle for the clown's head.
- 4). Have the child put the paintbrush in the water and grab another one. This will clean the brush off so that the paints don't mix.
- 5). Tell the child to choose another color of paint and to create big puffy hair around the circle and to add a flower or small hat to the top of the clown's head if she wants to.
- 6). Let the child paint the face however they want. Often clown faces are mainly white, but they can be any color. Remember to clean paintbrushes when changing colors.
- 7). Add a half at the bottom of the face for the clown's shoulders and chest. The diameter of the half circle should hit the bottom of the page. Fill in as desired.
- 8). Have the child pick any colors and add a design for the backdrop.
