How do I Remove French Braids?
- 1). Wrap an old towel around your neck to cover your shoulders and back. Clip or tie the towel to hold it in place.
- 2). Apply a generous amount of braid remover or detangler throughout your hair. Work the remover with your hands to thoroughly coat the hair all over your head from the roots to the tips. This will protect the hair from tangling or breaking as you work.
- 3). Select a braid and remove any hair bands from the tip of the braid. Clip off only the tip of the braid if it is fused together.
- 4). Work the braid to unravel it with your fingers, moving up the braid from the tip toward the roots. Go slowly to separate the sections that make up the braid, and make sure the tips of the sections don't begin to tangle at the bottom while you are undoing the braid near the top.
- 5). Comb through the now loosened hair once the entire braided portion has been unraveled. Select the next French braided area and repeat steps three and four until all braids have been removed and hair has been combed out.
- 6). Comb out your entire head once more to keep the hair from tangling and clumping together. While the hair might be frizzy, it should not have tangles.
- 7). Remove the towel from your shoulders and wash your hair with shampoo and any other products you normally use. Care for and style your hair as desired.
