Mahjongg is a game that was first created in China. It is traditionally a game with tiles that four people play, but you can also play the game on a Windows PC. You can download free versions of Mahjongg or purchase Mahjongg online. Mahjongg is a strategy game with multiple methods to increase overall playing skill. - Memorize all of the playing aspects of Mahjongg as well as the game rules for the best outcome. Practice recalling the scoring chart quickly to improve your speed when playing with others and on your computer. Each game you play, remember the strategy you used during that particular game or the previous one. Keep track of which plans and strategies work best to build your own personal strategy when playing.
- When playing Mahjongg, attempt to collect the highest numbered tiles. This will help assure that you win the round. Be wary of discarding tiles as this is an opportunity for the computer to analyze the hand you have had and figure out what tiles you are currently holding. Calculate your remaining moves with your tiles to stay organized and on track with your strategies. Since you have a limit with the number of moves you are allowed, you must plan accordingly.
- Discard tiles you do not need, including low tiles and even "lucky" tiles if they are unnecessary for your game. This is risky, but it also may help secure a win. After discarding six or seven of your tiles, you can say "chow" or "pung" if you feel comfortable in the game play. If you are looking to avoid a loss at all costs, discard your tiles very carefully and with caution. After four draws, look at the hand you have. If you need to pick up three or fewer tiles, go for the least amount of risk. Otherwise, it is best to play for a draw.
