Callaway Golf manufacturers and sells golf clubs, as well as golf balls and accessories, under the Callaway Golf, Odyssey, Ben Hogan and Top Flite brands. Its brands are available in more than 110 countries. Expanding its product portfolio, the company announced several new clubs and technologies in 2010. - In March 2010, Callaway Golf introduced its new FT-iZ line of fairway woods, hybrid clubs and drivers. The star of this line is the FT-iZ Driver, which, according to Callaway, marked the launch of a proprietary design feature it calls Polar Weighting. Polar Weighting localizes weight at the front and back of the clubhead, creating a heavy face and significant in-line power. It also features an aerodynamic body design for higher impact speeds. The FT-iZ Fairway Woods are the longest, straightest fairway woods Callaway has ever produced, according to Callaway, and also utilize Polar Weighting innovation. The FT-iZ Hybrids have a stainless steel body and sole combined with high-density weights to maximize perimeter weighting. In addition, the clubhead has a larger design.
- The Callaway Diablo Edge and Diablo Forged Irons are also new for 2010. The Diablo Edge is designed with a lower, deeper center of gravity for a longer, consistent distance and improved accuracy. The Diablo Forged Irons have a sleek and compact head style, and are configured for greater distance compared with other forged irons. Forged irons involve the process of making clubheads where 100 percent stainless steel is hammered and ground into shape either with or without heat. The Diablo Edge Irons are also available in combo sets, comprised of six steel-shafted or graphite-shafted irons and two Diablo Edge Hybrids.
- Callaway chief designer Roger Cleveland crafted Callaway's X Series Jaw wedges, which were launched in November 2009. The wedges are made of Forged 1020 carbon steel and are available in two finishes, Dark Vintage or Milky Chrome. The shafts are available in graphite or steel. They feature a new "C"-shaped sole, called C-Grind, to relieve the heel and toe bounce and feature Mack Daddy grooves for maximum spin and control.
- Callaway introduced in May 2010 its limited edition Odyssey ProType 82 Putter inspired by the same model pro golfer Phil Mickelson used to win his third Green Jacket at the Masters. Each of the 164 putters were individually numbered and sold on a first-come basis online at OdysseyGolf.com for an asking price of $500 each. The ProType 82 putters also came with a Phil Mickelson Limited Edition headcover and Black Series grip, identical to what he used to win at Augusta.
