- 1). Lie the uniform flat on your work surface.
- 2). Determine where you'd like the patches to go by placing them on to the uniform before sticking them on so you'll know where they will go. Place a small piece of tape in the locations where you want the patches to go so you'll put them in the correct spots.
- 3). Secure the patches on to the uniform one of several ways. If the patch is an iron-on patch, all you need to do is use a hot iron to apply the patch to the uniform. Before ironing, place a towel over the patch and uniform to protect them from the heat. Use patch or fabric glue to easily stick a patch on a uniform. If you're handy with a needle and thread, sewing a patch on is the most foolproof way to keep it on the uniform.
