How to Apply a Tropical Punch-Inspired Makeup Look
- 1). Smooth a tinted moisturizer over the entirety of your face with your fingers, or apply a sheer, creamy foundation only on areas that need coverage. Avoid heavy or matte foundation, which will make the bright and breezy colors of punch-inspired makeup look costume-like. Sweep a light pink or peach blush on the apples of your cheeks with a large, fluffy blush brush. The blush should have a small dose of gold shimmer to it; choose pink blush for a bright fuchsia lip or peach blush if you are using coral gloss. Your blush should complement and balance the rest of your face, not overpower it.
- 2). Brush a shimmery, lime green eyeshadow across your entire eyelid with a medium eyeshadow brush, intensifying the color at the lash line and fading it out as you approach the crease. Do not apply the lime shadow any further up the eye; the goal is to create a flash of color when you blink, and too much green shadow will look cartoonish. Dab light gold eyeshadow at the inner corners of your eye and on the brow bone to highlight and finish the shadow, then apply a coat of black mascara, combing well to remove any clumps.
- 3). Tint lips with a high-shine gloss in tropical-punch inspired shades like hot pink, coral or cherry red. Lip gloss is essential to recreating the liquidity of tropical punch, so skip lipsticks regardless of how shimmery. Apply gloss slightly within your natural lip line, then smack your lips together to evenly distribute the product. For longer lasting lip, line and fill lips with a tropical-punch colored lip liner, then smudge the edges of the line with your finger to remove any hard edges. Top liner with a clear or matching lip gloss.
