Florianópolis booms in the summer, and New Year's Eve is what kicks off the season in a grand way.
The Island of Magic is especially famous for the parties in upscale Jurerê Internacional, about 23 kilometers from downtown, but there are options in other areas as well. Here are some of the top choices for Réveillon 2015. For more, check out Blueticket, which sells tickets to most of the parties.
Erik Morillo is the headliner in this year's party at one of the most famous beach clubs in Brazil.
Café de La Musique, aka Café Floripa to set it apart from the company's dining club in São Paulo, draws the rich and famous to Jurerê Internacional with its beautifully produced Réveillon, Carnival, and sunset parties.

Considered one of the best parties in Floripa, the New Year's Eve party at Taikô is reaching its 13th edition this year. Taikô, a lounge in Jurerê Internacional which receives about 200,000 visitors every summer, is known for its good food, is serving risotto, lentils, mini sandwiches, oysters, sushi, fruit and sweets, all-inclusive. The open bar will have Veuve Clicquot, 12-year Chivas, Absolut, Red Bull, and Stella Artois.
The party is featuring Niko Saint-Tropez, resident DJ at Le Quai Saint-Tropez. He is known for adding jazz, lounge, and soul references to his take on lounge music. (He will also be playing at Disco Sunset & Club in Guaruaja on December 30.
Santa Catarina natives Elekfantz (Daniel Kuhnen and Leo Piovezani) will also be there, bringing in their electro with tinges of blues featured in their acclaimed album Dark Tales & Love Songs.
Taikô makes a point of highlighting local artists and this year Jean Carlo and Beto Aragon will also play at the party.

Spacious Music Park, in Jurerê Internacional, had over 5,000 partiers last New Year's Eve. This year, the venue's four areas - Terraza, Garden, Pacha e Devassa on Stage - will host a 12-hour all-inclusive shindig. Featured performers include DJs and bands, such as popular pagode group Jeito Moleque.

A Rio beat will be one of the reasons to greet 2015 at this beachfront party featuring Melanina Carioca - a band formed in Vidigal, playing funk, pagode, and other rhythms, and MC Sapão, one of the kings of Rio funk. The all-inclusive buffet will serve risotto, pasta, lentils, and ice cream.
João Armentano-designed The Roof, opened last year atop the centrally located Majestic Palace Hotel, affords one of the most spectacular views of Floripa - but usually opens only for listed guests. This could be the opportunity to enjoy the lounge.
