- 1). Go to the "Start" menu and choose "All programs."
- 2). Scroll down and click on "Windows defender."
- 3). Select the "Tools" button, then choose "Software explorer."
- 4). Select "Startup programs" from the drop-down menu in the category box.
- 5). Click on a program you want to run or disable at start-up. Choose "Enable" to turn it on at start-up or "Disable" to prevent it from opening when starting Windows.
- 6). Click "Yes" to verify your choice.
- 7). Close out of the window and restart Windows to see your changes take effect.
