- 1). Tap "Start" in the upper-left corner of the screen to open the start menu. Tap "Settings" and then switch to the "Systems" tab.
- 2). Tap "Windows Update" and then tap "Next."
- 3). Tap "Manual" if you don't want your HTC Touch to automatically download updates. Otherwise, tap "Automatic" and allow your HTC Touch to use your data connection to download updates. Tap "Finish."
- 4). Tap "Menu" and then tap "Connections." Select the connection types that you want your phone to use when checking for updates. If you want to avoid data charges, do not select your data plan. Tap "OK."
- 5). Tap "Menu" and then tap "Change Schedule." If you have enabled automatic updates, you can define the update schedule here. Set a time that you want your phone to check for updates. Select a time that your phone typically has access to a Wi-Fi network and is plugged into a wall outlet. Tap "OK."
- 6). Tap "Check Now" to search for and install new updates for your HTC Touch.
