How to Draw a 357 Magnum

104 4
    • 1). Draw a horizontal line roughly three to four inches long in the center of your paper. Draw another line parallel to that one, spaced about a centimeter underneath it. Draw a backwards "C" shape attached to the left of the line that connects the two lines together, forming the "barrel". Add a slight bit more length to the top line, then slope the line downward 60 degrees, curving the line slightly inward.

    • 2). Draw a line, about three inches long, from the end of that line that slopes downward but curves in the opposite direction as the previous line. This forms the outside of the grip. Go back and add the hammer to the curved line above the grip. Make a flat line on the bottom of the grip, then continue the line upward to draw another line that mimics the outside grip. You should now have a complete pistol grip shape.

    • 3). Add the backwards C shape to form the trigger guard, then draw a straight line that juts out to the left of the trigger guard that is roughly a quarter the length of the barrel, then draw another line that juts out and is about half the barrel length. Finish the basic shape by completing any unfinished connecting lines.

    • 4). Draw the trigger inside the guard, then draw the cylinder on the inside of the shape, taking care to add the indentions. Draw small nodules on the rear of the gun and a elongated triangle on the barrel to create sights. Add a line between the gun and the grip to signify the two different parts, then draw in the cylinder release just above this line. Erase any errant line and retrace your drawing in black ink for a more 3D look.
