- 1). Copy the Winnt.sif file to a floppy disk if it isn't already on one.
- 2). Insert the Windows installation CD into the computer's CD drive.
- 3). Restart the computer by clicking "Start," "Turn Off Computer" and "Restart."
- 4). Change the boot order in the computer's BIOS if the computer doesn't automatically boot from the Windows installation CD. Consult your computer's manual for information about editing its boot order.
- 5). Insert the floppy disk when the "Windows Setup" blue screen appears. Windows automatically detects the Winnt.sif file and starts reinstalling.
- 6). Remove the floppy disk and CD, and restart the computer when Windows finishes installing.
