How to Find the DHCP on XP Home
- 1). Push "Windows Key + R." This loads a "Run" box.
- 2). Type "CMD" (without quotes) and press "Enter." This loads the "Command Prompt."
- 3). Type "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) and press "Enter." This loads all IP configuration information.
- 4). Scroll through the command prompt until you find "DHCP Server." The set of numbers to the right of this is the current DHCP server.
- 1). Push "Windows Key + R."
- 2). Type "ncpa.cpl" (without quotes) and press "Enter." This loads the "Network Connections" window.
- 3). Double-click on the "Local Area Connection" icon.
- 4). Click on the "Support" tab of the "Details" button (depends on your version of Windows).
- 5). Find "DHCP Server." The set of numbers to the right of this is the DHCP server address.
