How to Shave Gel-Sensitive Skin
- 1). Rinse your face with warm water. This will make your facial hair stand up making it easier to shave. The easier your facial hair is to access, the less skin irritation you will experience once the shaving process is underway.
- 2). Lather up with a fragrance-free shaving foam. The various fragrances and perfumes found in many commercial shaving creams irritate sensitive skin. For best results use a foam labeled as for sensitive skin.
- 3). Shave with a clean, sharp razor. Move the razor across the contours of your face slowly and smoothly. Shave in the direction in which your hair grows.
- 4). Splash your face with cold water to close your pores and rinse off any remaining foam. Gently pat your clean-shaven face down with an all-natural moisturizing aftershave gel or lotion. This will seal your pores and help relieve post-shave burn.
