Birthday Card Paper Crafts
- Create a card that shows its internal design from its outside for a peekaboo effect. To make, fold a piece of paper in half. From the center of the front half, cut a circle or square that exposes the inside of the card. Paste a picture that you drew, took or cut out of a magazine onto the inside of the card. Write a message below the image and decorate the card's front for a personalized touch.
- Create a mini-scrapbook to wish your loved one happy birthday. Cut a standard sheet of paper in half vertically and fold the resulting piece in thirds. Paste different photos featuring the birthday person in the three panels; use photos with similar themes, such as photos from her last birthday party or photos of her at different ages. As a final touch, apply glitter glue to colorful areas of the photo, such as candles or balloons. Give yourself a day in between making the card and giving it to ensure that the glue fully dries.
- Fold a piece of paper in half and draw a 1-inch line across the bottom of the card with a felt-tipped pen in your choice of color. Use a pair of scissors featuring decorative edges to cut the card along the line; this adds a textured edge to the bottom of the card. Write a simple message, such as "Happy Birthday," on the front of the card. You can add an embellishment or sticker to the front as a special touch. Write your best wishes on the inside of the card.
