Aphids

• Aphids are soft bodied, pear shaped insects that can be found in colors ranging from green, pink, orange and yellow to fuzzy white or black. Aphids typically attack new growth, feeding at leaf axils, on buds and on young leaves. They typically cause distorted and deformed growth. Small populations are seldom worrisome, but large infestations may kill your bamboo. Spray aphids off your plant with a strong jet of water every few days. This will wash off adults and eggs as well.
