How to Repair or Uninstall XP
- 1). Insert the Windows XP Setup CD into the CD-ROM drive. Restart the computer. Press any key to boot the computer from the CD.
- 2). Press "Enter" at the "Welcome to Setup" screen. Do not press "R" for the "Recovery Console." Accept the license agreement.
- 3). Select the Windows XP partition. Press "R."
- 4). Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete the scan and repair process. Remove the CD after completion to launch back into Windows XP.
- 1). Insert the Install CD of the operating system you wish to install instead of Windows XP. Restart the computer. Press any key to boot from the CD.
- 2). Accept the license agreement. Enter your product key when prompted.
- 3). Select the Windows XP partition. Press "D" to delete. Press "C" to create a new partition.
- 4). Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete the installation of the new operating system.
