How to Enter Evidence in Small Claims
- 1). Bring your evidence to the trial. This evidence can be a physical document, such as a legal contract, or a witness in this particular case. It's your job to make sure that the evidence is present at the trial.
- 2). Show your evidence to the judge. If it's a contract stating you would be paid, read the parts you think are important and then hand it over to the judge. The procedure is similar with other documents as well.
- 3). Call your witnesses. Not all small claims trials have witnesses, but if you want them to present evidence, make sure they're at the trial. If you're not sure that a witness will show up, you can have the court subpoena him in advance.
