- 1). Lay the tile on the workbench, use the wax pencil and draw the circle to be cut out.
- 2). Drill 1/4-inch holes all around the border of the circle, with the holes almost touching. Be careful not to put too much weight on the drill, as it may break the tile. Let the masonry bit do the work.
- 3). Place three or four pieces of thick cardboard on the workbench, forming a cushion that has some spring to it. Lay the tile on the cardboard.
- 4). Hold the tile down firmly with one hand and tap the center of the circle with your hammer. Tap it lightly, multiple times, until the thin tile material between the drill holes breaks and the section for the hole falls out.
