I'm Monika Welch, and I'm a color specialist with The Mastery Salon, and today we're going to talk about does changing hair's pH effect the hair color. Usually your hair is either dry or it's very oily or it's normal. You really want your hair to be in a normal pH so that it accepts hair color evenly. If your hair is really dry it could over absorb the color and become very dark or if your hair is not holding onto the color very well it could also become faded. So you want to make sure that your hair is nice and normalized and the pH is even and you want to do this through intensive treatments and keeping your hair extremely moisturized so that the hair can accept the color evenly and it can last as long as it needs to last.
