How to Print From a Vista Network to a Mac
- 1). Click the "Control Panel" in the "Start" menu on the PC running Vista. Select "Network and Internet" and click "Network and Sharing Center."
- 2). Click the downward facing arrow and click "Turn On Network Discovery" and press the "Apply" button.
- 3). Click on the downward facing arrow again and select "Turn On Printer Sharing" and click "Apply."
- 4). Select "Network" from the Finder's Go menu on the Mac. Click on the Vista network you want to connect to. Input the network name and password.
- 5). Open "System Preferences" in the Apple menu and select "Print & Fax." Click on the "Printer Setup" button and select the Vista printer from the drop down menu.
- 6). Click on the name of the Vista network and the name of the computer the printer is attached to, if it is not a wireless printer. Enter your network name and password and press "OK." Click on the printer and press "Add."
- 7). Select the page you want to print from the Vista network printer on your Mac and open it by double clicking on it. Select "Print" from the "File" menu. Select the Vista printer from the "Printer" drop down menu. Click "Print."
