    • 1). Use a sunscreen on your face. Buy a lotion or cream that has sunscreen already in it, then in the morning wash your face and apply the sunscreen as your moisturizer. Usually the sunscreen in lotion will be about 15 SPF (sun protection factor). This will help the freckles and age spots fade. Use the sunscreen everyday.

    • 2). If you skin is fair, or you want more SPF in your lotion, then buy a higher SPF lotion for faces, like 30 or 50 and mix it with your lotion. Mix the lotion and the sunscreen in the palm of your hand and apply it in the morning after you wash your face.

    • 3). If you wear sunscreen all year round on your face then at the beginning of the spring and summer season, you can apply a sunscreen to your body, so that you will tan evenly. The myth is that sunscreen does not allow you to tan. This is not true. You will tan through the sunscreen and the tan will be more even colored then if you burn and then let it fade to a tan. Less painful too. You will even tan through and SPF 50. At least, try it!

    • 4). Wear a hat while you are in the sun. Whenever you step out of the door into the sun, you should have a hat with a long enough brim to shade your nose. You can have a lot of hats to match your clothing wardrobe. Even wear a hat on sunny days in the winter. Always wear a sunscreen, too, if you are out for a long time because those UV rays will sneak under the brim of the hat after a while and tan your face and darken your age spots and freckles.

    • 5). Wearing sunglasses can fade freckles and prevent freckles from marching over your nose. Some people get freckles under their eyes and on their eyelids. Wearing sunglasses will really help fade the spots and freckles around the eye area.
