Bipolar disorder symptoms are forbidding yet treatable.
Bi polar disorder is a medical state striking by mood swings that are much harsher than most normal people undergo now and then.
The state of this condition is known as bi polar depression or manic depression.
The frequency and intensity of the severe mood changes varies with different people.
Hence people should be free from anxiety relief.
We can observe some dominant symptoms in people suffering from bipolar disorder like: - Frequent racing thoughts cause extreme restiveness and lack of sleep.
- They may face problems in school or work and substance abuse.
- Suicidal thoughts.
- Unusual and extended period of euphoria.
- Extreme energy while feeling empty or hopeless.
- Hallucinations that go beyond existing reality.
Bipolar disorder is characterized by the frequency of manic highs or followed by depressive low.
There is also possibility of person of being normal for certain period between these two phases.
Mania: In this phase, people feel very high as though the brain and body is put on with sudden energy.
But this thought and quickness may be very damaging.
People in manic phase are very petulant with people they love.
Furthermore they always have a feeling of wanting something.
This may push them to take drugs or engage in risky behavior like licentious sexual behavior and many more.
Depression: Mania phase is followed by extreme low depression.
They high energy is replaced by inability and low self esteem.
This will result the person feeling guilty and exacerbate the symptoms of depression.
Since it is a life time illness there must be anxiety relief and a long tern medication combined with psychotherapy.
Diagnosis is very important before the patient is treated with medication.
SSRI's and MAOI's are two groups of anxiety relief drugs to combat symptoms of bipolar disorder.
