- 1). Draw the eye and include the shimmer circle at the top (the blank spot that simulates light reflecting off the eye).
- 2). Shade around the pupil and shimmer circle with your colored pencil or marker.
- 3). Gradually lighten your pressure on the pencil or marker so that the shading is lighter as you move below the shimmer circle and around the pupil.
- 4). Pick another colored pencil/marker with a lighter tint. Continue shading with this new pencil or marker as you move further down around the pupil.
. - 5). Erase any mistakes. Touch up the eye by drawing lines extending from the pupil with another colored pencil or marker. These tiny flecks of color make the eye more realistic.
