- 1). Turn on your cell phone. It is very important that your phone is on and has enough battery life to send an extensive text message.
- 2). Open up your "Messages" area. There will be options such as "Send an Email," "Send SMS" or "Send MMS."
- 3). Select "Send MMS." MMS usually contain pictures or sound files because this form of message allows a cell phone user to send a message of any size to another cell phone.
- 4). Type the recipient phone number in the "To" area. This will direct the message to that specific number. Leave the subject area blank.
- 5). Type the long text message in the body of the MMS. You can type as much as you want without having to break the message into multiple messages.
- 6). Click send when you finish typing the message. The message may take a few seconds to send because of the larger size.
