How to Play a 6th String C Chord for Guitar
- 1). Place the left-hand ring finger on the tenth fret of the fifth string. This is the note G, which is the fifth of the chord.
- 2). Position the left-hand pinky finger on the tenth fret of the fourth string to produce the note C, which is the root of the chord.
- 3). Place the left-hand middle finger on the ninth fret of the third string, which is the note E, the third of the chord.
- 4). Lay the left-hand finger flat across all six strings on the eighth fret. This will produce three notes, the root, C, on the sixth and first strings, and the fifth, G, on the second string.
