How to Compare Baseball Gloves

    Instructions

    • 1). Divide your notepad or piece of paper into five columns. The main categories you should include are: price, size, manufacturer, color and feel. Don't write down whether the gloves are for right-handed or left-handed throwers. You will be looking for a glove that fits on the opposite hand with which you throw.

    • 2). If you are shopping in a store, put the glove on to see how it feels and make note of it on your chart. If you are shopping online, you should first filter your search for gloves that are for the proper hand and playing position. Because you can't try the glove on when shopping online, consider looking at customer reviews to get an idea of the feel of the glove.

    • 3). Compare as many gloves as you can, using your chart to make notes. You may want to put an asterisk next to any glove that you especially like and feels particularly good on your hand. There are many types of gloves and most will have a different feel for you. If you decide to ask other players what gloves they like, consider what they say, but ultimately you will have to decide what glove is right for you.

    • 4). Review your notes when you are finished comparing gloves. Look for a glove that best matches your criteria and preferences. Make sure you take your time choosing a glove because a bad glove could hinder your performance on the field.
