How to Remove Ceramic Tile
- 1). Remove all non-stationary objects such as furniture and accessories from the workspace.
- 2). Smack the tiles with the mallet to start breaking them up.
- 3). Place the chisel point in the grout between tiles. Hold it at a 90-degree angle, bang the chisel head a few times with the mallet, and then angle it to 45 degrees.
- 4). Force the chisel tip underneath the tile, and begin lifting up the broken pieces.
- 5). Push the flat bar back and forth until all of the hardened mortar has been removed.
