How to Wire an XLR Microphone Cable
- 1). Connect the female end of the XLR cable into the bottom of the microphone. This end of the cable has the three connection port openings (instead of the three metal pins).
- 2). Plug the opposite end of the XLR cable (the male end) into the audio-in connection port on the audio receiver.
- 3). Power on the audio receiver and the microphone (there is a small switch on the front of the microphone). The audio from the microphone now travels from the device into the audio receiver, then is produced through any connected speakers.
