Washing Your Merino Wool Blend Blanket

• 1). Separate your merino wool blend blanket from other laundry. The blanket should be washed alone to prevent the colors of your blanket from running onto other colored clothing.
  
  
• 2). Place blanket in the washing mashing. Set the washing cycle for cold wash and cold rinse. Washing in cold water will prevent the blanket from shrinking and will also help maintain its color.
  
  
• 3). Pour one capful of delicate laundry detergent into the washing machine and allow the blanket to wash for the full washing cycle. If there is a delicate cycle on your machine, you can use that, but the regular cycle on cold should be sufficient.
  
  
• 4). When the washing cycle is complete, immediately remove the blanket from machine and lay it on a flat surface on top of a sheet. Roll the blanket and sheet up, squeezing out as much excess water as possible. If your blanket is large, this step may get messy.
  
  
• 5). Unroll the sheet and remove the damp blanket. Place the blanket back on the flat surface or on a clothesline to air dry.
