How to Cure Concrete Sealer Remover

104 10
    • 1). Read the label on the concrete sealer remover. Somewhere in the instructions, it will state the amount of time the product must cure in order to remove the sealant. The time will likely be listed as a range, usually somewhere between one and three hours, depending on the type of remover used.

    • 2). Leave the room while the concrete sealer remover cures for the manufacturer-recommended amount of time. The fumes can be hazardous. Even if you are wearing a breathing mask (which you should), get some fresh air to give your lungs a break.

    • 3). Put your breathing mask back on and re-enter the room once the minimum amount of curing time has elapsed.

    • 4). Scrape a portion of the concrete sealer remover up with your putty knife. If the sealant is loose and sludge-like and comes up with the remover, it is done curing and you can now lift the sealer and remover up from the entire floor. If the sealant does not come up, re-apply remover to the area. Wait roughly 15 more minutes, and then test again on another part of the floor.
