How to Make Dangle Earrings With Thin Wire
- 1). Cut out a piece of the wire, according to how low you want the earring to hang from your ear.
- 2). Wrap one end of the wire cutout around a crystal or bead in the color of your choice. Wrap it around a couple of times in a swirling motion, forming a tight, circular cage around the crystal.
- 3). Shape the tips of the wire at the top and bottom of the crystal using the jewelry pliers. The crystal should be clearly visible and not completely encased by the wire cage.
- 4). Bend the remainder of the wire into a half-moon or comma shape, using your hands or the pliers. Bend it toward the caged crystal into a concave shape.
- 5). Repeat Steps 1 through 4 to make an identical earring to complete the pair.
- 1). Cut out a piece of the wire, according to how low you want the earring to hang from your ear.
- 2). Slightly bend the wire in half. Form a small loop at one end of the wire cutout using the pliers.
- 3). Cut out a separate short piece of wire, enough to string two or three beads onto it.
- 4). Form a small loop at one end of this wire using the pliers.
- 5). String two or three beads through the other end of the wire.
- 6). Hold the beads in place with one hand and flatten out the straight end of the wire using the small hammer. The beads should now feel securely placed and not falling off of the wire.
- 7). Repeat Steps 3 through 6 for as many droplet pieces you want or can fit onto the loop end of the ear wire from Steps 1 and 2.
- 8). Hang your finished dangle pieces on the loop end of the ear wire.
- 9). Repeat Steps 1 through 8 to create an identical earring to complete the pair.
- 1). Cut out a piece of wire, according to how low you want the earrings to drop from your ears.
- 2). String a few crystals or beads onto the wire. Move the crystals toward the top half of the wire, leaving some distance from the top tip of the wire.
- 3). Bend both ends of the wire at an angle perpendicular to the jewels. The crystals should now feel securely in place on the wire.
- 4). Bend the longer end of the wire again at a perpendicular angle to complete the rectangular shape of the wire. The crystals should completely fill the length of one edge of the rectangle.
- 5). Cut off any excess wire remaining at both ends of the earring wire after forming its rectangular shape.
- 6). Form a small hook at the tip of the longer edge of the earring wire to wrap over the shorter edge. This should form a top corner of the rectangle.
- 7). Repeat Steps 1 through 6 to make an identical earring to complete the pair.
