    G-Pen

    • G-pens are unique-shaped ink pen nibs used with separate wooden holders. The nib has the quality to bend and is elastic, which allows the artist to interchange thick and thin lines in one stroke. This adds shape and dramatic effects to the line. The pen is usually used for thicker lines such as jaw line and the body and is a foundational tool used by all manga artists.

    Kabura Pen

    • The kabura pen, also referred to as saji pen, has a comparatively firm nib. It is also used in a wooden shaft holder and is the same size as a G-pen. The only difference is that the firm nib allows the artist to draw lines with less dramatic variations in the width and shape. The overall effect of a magna drawing done with the kabura pen is milder and softer as compared to the G-pen.

    Crow Quill Pen

    • The crow quill pen is also known as the mapping, round or the maru pen. It is the smallest among the pen nibs used for manga drawings and is used to draw thinner lines. This pen requires a different wooden holder that has a smaller hole to fit in the nib. The crow quill pen is used to draw hair, backgrounds, facial features and other small details.

    Sakura Pigma Micron Pen

    • Sakura Pigma Micron pen is also used for drawing manga characters. It is a technical pen designed for artists and illustrators to achieve high-quality drawing results. The Pigma ink in the pens is waterproof, fade resistant and doesn't bleed through even the thinnest paper. The pen is available in a variety of sizes ranging from 0.20 mm to 0.50 mm point size. Depending on the size, artists can use this pen to draw thick or thin lines in the manga drawings.

    Tombow Dual Brush Pen

    • Tombow dual brush pen has two tips on each side with a ink reservoir in between. One tip is a flexible brush tip, which can be use to draw fine, medium or bold brush strokes according to the requirement, while the other tip is a fine-point, hard tip used to draw thin consistent lines. Both the tips are made of nylon fiber and can be used with water to add various affects. These pens come in a variety of sets with various colors that include Manga Shojo colors, Manga Shonen colors, portrait, primary and secondary colors and landscape colors.
