The Thanksgiving Workout Plan

103 6
You're not expected to avoided all of your Thanksgiving favorites like sweet potatoes, casseroles, and of course stuffing, but keep in mind that all of it adds up...
and fast.
By now I am sure you've read that the average American will eat around 3800 calories during their Turkey Day Feast...
and while you can't work it all off in one workout, I do suggest you move a bit the morning before the feast begins.
Doing a quick exercise routine in the morning will get you in a frame of mind where you will remember your fitness regiment and normal eating habits and therefore making it so you might just stick to a single plate instead of going back for seconds, or maybe just a few spoonfuls of stuffing instead of a heaping load.
But considering that millions of us are traveling it is likely that you're not around your gym or have access to the equipment you normally do at home.
That's ok...
here is a workout plan that you can do anywhere, even in a hotel room should it come down to it! To make it even more fun, recruit your family to do the workout with you! This is a "working it down" routine, the first time aim for 50 reps of each exercise, then go through it again with 30 reps per exercise and then one final time of 20 reps per exercise.
The good thing is that there are just four moves!
  1. Body weight squats
  2. Push-ups (on knees if needed)
  3. Flutter Kicks
  4. Jumping Jacks (if you have a jump rope, do that instead)
This is a great workout to get the blood pumping and getting you ready for the day's activities! Remember, no one expects you to be perfect and eat clean for all your meals, but try and keep portion size in perspective and don't forget how hard you work to look fab!
