Latex Glove Cow Craft Ideas
- Many cows, and most males, have horns. Some are removed by the farmers before the cows reach maturity, while others are left on. Use your latex gloves to create horns for your cow by turning your glove inside out and tying the two middle fingers and the thumb at the knuckle. Turn the glove right side out and then blow it up until you are satisfied with the volume. Place behind the faux cow's head.
- After you've made a cow with papier-mache, Styrofoam or any other material, add an extra touch of realism by providing cow udders. Simply take a pink or neutral colored latex glove and blow it up until it's about half full. Place the "udders" underneath the cow that you previously made. This will create the appearance of full udders, just like many female cows on a farm have.
- For this craft, find white or off-white latex gloves. Tie the bottoms of the four fingers with a simple through the loop knot. This will give your cow an appearance of hooves. Blow up the glove until you're satisfied with the size. Draw spots on your cow with a permanent marker and use a permanent marker to create the cow's face on the thumb. You can even add googly eyes by gluing them to the top of the thumb and drawing two small openings with black marker for the nose at the tip of the thumb.
- Just as you did with the cow horns, turn the glove inside out and tie the second and third finger and the thumb at the knuckle of the glove. Turn the glove right side out and blow it up. Draw a cow's eyes, nose and mouth with a permanent marker or glue a paper face (or parts of the face) onto the latex glove. Make upside down "V" marks on the first and fourth fingers of the glove to make ears. Don't forget to use your permanent marker to make spots on the cow's face.
