- 1). Situate the digital antenna that is attached to the digital converter as high as possible and near a window. This will ensure the best possible reception for the digital converter.
- 2). Tune the television to channel three, where it will receive a signal from the digital converter.
- 3). Navigate to the Scan for Channels menu on the digital converter. Though this varies by converter make and model, it is generally accessed through the Menu or Setup button on the remote control.
- 4). Click to start the channel scan. This will take several minutes to complete. Repeat this process a few times over several days until the maximum number of channels is reached.
