- 1). Place a screw hook to the area of the ceiling where you'd like the candle holder to hang.
- 2). Tap the screw into the ceiling with a hammer to get the screw started. Once the screw is in far enough into the ceiling that you don't have to hold it in, begin screwing it clockwise.
- 3). Screw until the hook is in the ceiling up to its base.
- 4). Measure how low you'd like the lantern to hang. Cut fishing line to the appropriate length.
- 5). Attach the fishing line to the candle lantern by tying it to the top of the lantern.
- 6). Tie the fishing line to the hook on the ceiling. Tie several knots to ensure it stays on securely.
