How to Wash Flannel
- 1). Adjust the water temperature to the warm setting on the washing machine. Keep the temperature consistent for both the wash and rinse cycles.
- 2). Add the proper amount of mild detergent. Avoid using detergents with bleach additives or alternatives. Even regular detergent may cause fading over time.
- 3). Set the cycle to either permanent press for garments and sheets or the gentle cycle for delicate quilts.
- 4). Add the flannel garments or pieces to the washing machine and always wash with like colors to help avoid shedding.
- 5). Add fabric softener during the rinse cycle, or use a dryer sheet while in the dryer.
